NEGATIVE ADDICTION

A Zero is/can be passionate about issues, activities and life generally. This can drive the Zero to a breaking point where it will need a way out. We all face this at sometime in our life; past, present or future.

People will look for various ways out of such dilemmas, they can go into negative/self destructive acts like alcohol, drugs, sex, porn, etc. some would get addicted to eating non-stop, some it’s their lipstick or make up, for some it is lack of appetite for food, it can be sleeping disorders, it can just be anything. If this is temporary, all good, but when it starts veering into addiction, then such a person is now a Zero and will remain so until such a negative addictive habit is broken.

I ask you today, what behavior do you see yourself getting addicted to? Is it negative/self destructive? Please desist today, if it means going to rehab, please do and don’t remain a zero.

VAIN

The intrinsic value of a human is not in the clothes he/she has on or how much money he/she has to spend. This is because we have some dogs that wear clothes that is far more expensive than the monthly salary of a lot of people, but that does not stop them from being and remaining dogs. Some people have so much money to spend that it makes them miserable and they end up being killed by this.

The true value of a human is in their talents, aura, their vision/mission, their personality, the value system of that person.

When we begin to judge people by the outward effects like the price tags of what they are wearing, the kind of car they drive, or by their last names, we are veering towards becoming Zeros.

Having a good car, or coming from a family that has names that opens doors is perfect, but, that does not define a man properly.

In some organisations, talking only to the CEO is a study in frustration in getting your job done. Some people would say that “kissing A—will only get you shit on” and the only people that get shit on are Zeros.

Centuries ago, women lived without jewelry and were still considered beautiful. A princess will remain a princess even if she had no money, gold or palace.

Stop looking at people by the price tags on their clothes, cars, houses or the titles around their names, start looking at people by the value they have; the true value; that is their personality, their personal value system, their integrity, their intelligence, their heart, etc. when you start doing this, you start moving from ‘Zeroism’ to Multiplicity.

SOCIAL TRAITS OF THE ZERO PERSONALITY (4)

PESSIMISTS

So far, we have discussed two social traits of the Zero personality- Pride and Attention seeking. Today we will be discussing a third social trait of the Zero personality-PESSIMISM/MYOPIC ATTITUDE.

More often than not, a zero never sees the good in anything, it can only see the danger in any activity or the pitfalls and not the possible rewards; never expect to get encouragement or support from a zero to venture into almost anything at anytime. But note that due to this trait, zeros are expert critics and analysts, they are perfectionists extraordinaire.

A zero is so pessimistic that often it cannot even see any good in itself. Due to this, it would go to the extreme to prove to itself that it has a form of self worth, or just simply get perpetually distressed. Note this day that there is not 1 person on this earth who is not valuable, we were all made to fulfill a great divine purpose. Yes, like I said ALL of us, which includes you reading this blog post. Your simple task is to find it like a pot of gold because that’s what you get the day you find it.

We are all destined for greatness irrespective of our family background, race, colour, tribe, sex, age, financial status or education.

Pessimism is like cancer that has to be cured before it helps us remain Zeros for life.

In conclusion, if this trait is in you do something about it today, choose to be a better you; be a multiplier. (More about multipliers will come in subsequent posts.)

Be true to yourself, live life by the moment, as if it is your last, live on purpose and touch a soul positively.

SOCIAL TRAITS OF THE ZERO PERSONALITY (3)

 ATTENTION SEEKING

 A zero would always seize every opportunity be it positive or negative to court attention. This is because the immediate limelight is of more value to the zero than the later consequences.

It is in the bid to ensure that this attention is on a zero that they would easily succumb to peer pressure or do what everyone else does even if it’s wrong instead of standing up to change a wrong doing.

This same desire is what drives some zeros to go to the point of dressing in very wild or strange attires or doing things like piercing some unusual places on their bodies, having the wildest hairdo, wearing the most vulgar of clothes. Please note that I am not saying that it is wrong to dress or act seemingly wild at times, the issue is the motive; if it is just to get noticed then you are a zero.

Some zeros would go to the point of becoming serial killers just for the momentary high of being on TV even if it means spending the rest of their lives in prison.

SOCIAL TRAITS OF THE ZERO PERSONALITY (2)

PRIDE

This trait is very obvious from the description of the zero given in the last blog post. As life is its slave it will be very proud and demanding, not concerned in any way about other people’s feelings and passions.

With a very strong sense of pride, a zero would rather die than to apologise for a fault; a zero would rather go to the grave than to make amends with anyone tagged as the enemy even if the opportunity arises and its life depends on it.

Along the same path, a zero would rather die than to beg for anything. The pride factor leads to a long string of broken and wounded relationships, poor followership and fundamentalist character traits.

The pride factor also makes an otherwise warm fellow seem snobbish and unapproachable.

This goes on continually in the life of the zero till it dies lonely, rejected and dejected by even those otherwise close to it.

This same pride is what makes the zero pessimistic and disloyal suspecting every move and looking for only ways of showing you how much better they are than yourself; makes every effort to show you that no matter how good you seem to have become at anything, you are no better than being under their feet.

I therefore ask you to check yourself and let me know how much of a proud zero you are.

THE SOCIAL TRAITS OF THE ZERO PERSONALITY (1)

Man is a social animal. Man craves to 'belong' to a group or be accepted by another group. This craving has driven people to the points of being indoctrinated with beliefs that otherwise do more harm than good.

Today, we are looking at how a zero personality acts in its course to socialise, in its desire to be accepted.

We will start with the first social trait of the zero personality and cover all the others in subsequent posts.

The first trait is that a zero is the modern day aristocrat to the extreme. It Believes that life and everyone in it owes him/her a lot. A zero would go to great lenghts to ensure that this debt is collected in terms of allegiances created or controlling behaviors displayed. It would always give favours to collect back soonest in more than a hundred percent and probably call in favours to perpetuate evil or support it.

 It sees life as a place where it is the lord and master and all else should bow to it, it sees no reason to give back to life or in the extreme; it sees no reason to share life with anyone else.

A zero would complain about everything except itself, something must be blamed for every bad thing that happens to it; it usually adduces this to the fact that there are forces ofter it who are out to ensure that it does not succeed in life and sometimes use that as an excuse not to even attempt at any venture but become laid back and pessimistic and support others in not achieving their dreams.

BUSINESS TRAITS OF THE ZERO PERSONALITY

So far, we have defined the zero personality and started out listing the business traits of this personality.

We have been able to outline and discuss five of them namely:

1. Wants immediate gratification. An example of the is the story of the Prodigal son as related in the Holy bible (the book of Luke chapter 15 verses 11 to 21)

2. Cannot stand competition. An example here is the story of Microsoft in their antitrust case for which Bill gates almost lost his company if he had not surrendered leadership. And note that by diffusing leadership he ceased being the all in all and humbled himself and ceased being a zero due to the anti competitive personality he had initially displayed.

3. Lacks integrity. Any person that cannot give his/her word and stand by it displays this trait, especially when factors that would have prevented the fulfillment of such a promise are within the person’s control.

4. Zero risk appetite.  This happens to us at one time or the other in our lives. Everyone is a coward, the hero is the one that now takes a step, another and every other step necessary to reach, face and conquer his/her fear. Fear is an imagination of the mind that we bring to reality and exists for as long as we allow it to.

5. Very myopic/lacks planning. A good example here is some of the governments and politicians we have had in Nigeria.
