FOOD AND PRODUCTIVITY

FOOD AND PRODUCTIVITY By REMI DAIRO
REMI DAIRO

Good Day,

Today I will be exposing to you the foods that can increase your
productivity!
WHO(the World Health Organisation) says "Adequate nutrition can raise your productivity
by 20% on average" When you eat well, you can work well!
3 classes of foods to take your productivity to the next level are:

1. Fruits: When you are hungry instead of going for fast foods go
for FAST FRUITS. Banana has glucose needed for the brain.
Medical experts say the brain works
best with about 25 grams of glucose circulation in the brain, this is about what is found in banana!

Raw carrots will give you a steady level of blood sugar your brain needs to function optimally!
Also Garlic, which contains strong antibacterial and antiviral compounds that help shake off
stress-induced colds and infections to power maximum productivity!

2. Take Coffee: Have you wondered why CEO's take coffee instead of the
normal tea?
Caffeine found in Coffee improves memory and even "protect
against eyelid spasm" which helps those who are staring at computer
all day! It is also rich with antioxidants and amino acid.

Also, try to take DARK CHOCOLATES,
it contains antioxidant property that increases the production of endorphins while enhancing focus and
concentration needed for optimum productivity!

3. Eat Dark Leafy Greens: Eating vegetables can be a best food for you
when its not cooked or half boiled!
These leaves are loaded with vitamins, mineral and phytonutrients!
green vegetables
Iron, for example, helps bring more oxygen to the body and brain and this improves cognitive control which is
very key to personal productivity!
Vegetable could go with your rice, your "Eba" or "Akpu" but make sure you don't over cook it because the
nutrients will disappear into thin air!
AKPU WITH EGUSI SOUP

As you go out this week, eat well and see your productivity rocking the sky!

Thank you!

BAI FANGLI ON LEADERSHIP

By ABIODUN SMART OLAOLUWA

In 1987, a 74-year old rickshaw puller by the name of Bai Fangli came back to his hometown planning to retire from his backbreaking job. There, he saw children working in the fields, because they were too poor to afford school fees.

Bai returned to Tianjin and went back to work as a rickshaw puller, taking a modest accommodation next to the railway station. He waited for clients 24 hours a day, ate simple food and wore discarded second-hand clothes he found. He gave all of his hard-earned earnings to support children who could not afford education.

In 2001, he drove his rickshaw to Tianjin YaoHua Middle School, to deliver his last installment of money. Nearly 90 years old, he told the students that he couldn't work any more. All of the students and teachers were moved to tears.

In total, Bai had donated a total of 350,000 yuan to help more than 300 poor students continue with their studies. In 2005, Bai passed away leaving behind an inspiring legacy.

If a rickshaw-puller who wore used clothes and had no education can support 300 children to go to school, imagine what you and I can do with the resources we have to bring about positive change in our world!

PILLARS OF LEADERSHIP

BY AYO EMAKHIOMHE

As a leader, all your activities must be guided by 3 pillars, which are that:

1.  They must bring honor to God: Think before you act, and in thinking, ask yourself if that activity you are about to engage in or are engaged in will bring honor or dishonor to God.

2.  They must serve and benefit others. What’s the motive behind the deed you are about to commit to or the act you are about to engage in? is it to glorify yourself, your position, or is it to polish your ego or boost your self esteem? Is it to be of service to man and nature or to be of good to others? The latter 2 is usually the most preferred motive.

3.  They must be to realize and utilize the gifts of your team members positively and to their greatest potential.
Our leadership must always be about the big picture; something much bigger than us. This should be your driving personal and corporate mission and vision. To set any other mission/vision standard below this means that you are just taking a stroll and not leading anyone.

A good example of having a clear vision/mission of life goal/leadership motive can be seen in an example of a cleaner in NASA who when asked what she was doing said she was
“cleaning the floor to assist the country to fly into space”. She knew her mission as not just to keep the floor clean, but that that floor was part of the big picture of reaching space. How many of the cleaners or members in your team can clearly define their job function in line with your corporate objective/mission/vision?

The 3 pillars listed above addresses the ultimate leadership topic of motive. Your motive for doing things ultimately determines what you do.

Note that no matter whom you are or what level you are in society, you have a call and a duty to leadership. It is the small leadership steps you take today that will take you to the big steps of leadership tomorrow. LEAD FROM WHERE YOU ARE!

I end with leadership lessons from John C. Maxwell:

  • No real meaning exists apart from linking our lives to God’s purpose. Leadership without an eternal perspective falls into the trap of meaninglessness.

  • Humanism and materialism provide incomplete counsel for decision making.

  • Possessions, people, pleasures, prestige and power make great servants but poor masters.

  • The key is timing: when to lead is as important as what to do and where to go.

  • People are not motivated by one incentive, but by a variety of incentives.

  • Divine wisdom provides direction, protection, correction and resolution; seek divine wisdom in God daily.

  • Leaders must invest themselves generously, knowing that the benefits are in their future.
God bless you!

WHAT DO YOU SEE WITH?

WHEN YOU LOOK WITH ONLY YOUR EYES

By Ayo Emakhiomhe.

When you look outside daily, what do you see?

When you look at your spouse what do you see?

When you look at your kids what do you see?

When you look at your business what do you see?

When you look at your job what do you see?
No matter what I see for you, the reality is what you see    . Stop seeing only now, stop seeing only tomorrow, and stop seeing only what your eyes can see.

Start seeing more than your eyes can see.
If you can see today fine, if you can see tomorrow good but if you cannot see at least 5 to 10 years from now then you cannot see. You are simply blind.

Please open your eyes today, clear your vision, and see into your future.
Make sure what you see is what you want and start aligning with it.
You will get it.
 God Bless you.

HEALTH AND PRODUCTIVITY

HEALTH & PRODUCTIVITY by Remi Dairo (Mr.)

Today, I will be sharing with you how health impacts on your productivity! How can anyone be productive when health is a big challenge?

There are 3 windows to your health and their mastery can also lead to your productivity!

1. What you eat:

What you eat is a big window to your well-being. Bad eating will lead to bad-elements in the body, this act can shut down the body system. The body system is a machine, it needs maintenance! One of the ways you maintain your body is through balance diet. How many times have you eaten a balance diet? When you don't eat well, you lack appropriate minerals, vitamins, proteins, glucose etc. If you don't feed well, it affects your energy and especially the brain for maximum productivity!

2. What you think:

Hypertension kills faster in this century more than ever before. The reason is emotional bottle up especially the negative thoughts/emotions.
As a result of unhealthy thoughts the body is destroyed from productivity!
When you don't filter your thoughts, your thought will filter you out of life! Good thinking is good living! You must make up your mind to remove your name from the list of the worry and stressful people of this century!
WORRY, WORRY
Worry does not change your result rather it reduces your productivity! Be wise!

3. What you say!

Do you know your tongue is  tied to your brain? Whatever to say to yourself secretly affects your productivity! Inspirational words provokes your performance while degrading and self-pity talks brings your head down.
No matter what you are facing, no matter what the challenges are, your tongue can heal you or can shut you down.
You can't have a "bad mouth" and have a good health! Your productivity flies when your tongue flies on good reports! Watch your words!

As you go out this week, beware of the 3 windows to your health that affects your productivity!

Have a productive week!

Thank you.
